Up til now I've only posted in the Standard gallery. Now I think I'm ready for critical feedback...
This was a model who, when she arrived, panicked and refused to model. A friend with her who had modelled previously sat in til Maria became somewhat more comfortable. She remained clothed from the waste down, so I worked around that. (Does that count as a nude shot?)
Dosn't matter if it counts as a "nude" shot or not I prefer to judge it for what it is. I don't really care about categories.
I like the composition and use of negative space. Considering she was uncomfortable I think you were successful in moving her beyond that and getting a good shot. A very nice image but I think I like it better rotated 180 degrees. Question is will she model for you again?
She appears to be quite a beautiful young lady. The pose and angle of view are interesting and complementaty. I am mildly disturbed by the loss of detail in the flesh around her nose and lips. I think this is more of a lighting issue than one of dof.
What color are here eyes? I'd very much like to see a straight portrait of this model too.
I personally like both of the images, this one is wonderful, has a great look and I like the fact the flesh texture is missing. It adds a bit of mystery and a kind of soft fuzzy feeling to the image. Charlie..........
