'Just saw this one. You have several lovely portraits of this young lady, but this seems to stand out. Setting is quite pleasing, but as Tony said about the soft colors (and soft light) are more moving. For me, the thoughtful expression is what puts it over the top. 'Don't know what she was thinking, but the expression is most endearing.
'Make me very happy to hear. I doubt anything grabs my respect faster than a man who loves his children. 'Can't talk about it much, but it seems profoundly important. She's lucky, and no doubt you are also. Bravo Fred!
Thanks to HiHoSilver for commenting so that I could see it too. Agree about the colors, it's a really nice portrait. My daughter is 14 and I know what you mean.
Peter (Fred Astaire) to Linda (Ginger Rogers) in "Shall We Dance" sang ' 'The way you wear your hat The way you sip your tea The memory of all that No, no, they can't take that away from me The way your smile just beams The way you sing off key The way you haunt my dreams No, no, they can't take that away from me Still I'll always, always keep the memory of The way you hold your knife The way we danced till three The way you've changed my life Oh no, they can't take that away from me No, they can't take that away from me' Sorry, it just popped into my head when i read "...the best thing that ever happened to me.." and the beanie.
