ohhhh, i have to admit i'm a sucker for great big skies, especially of the deep dark variety you can get with IR. the horizontal line of trees nicely separates the field from sky and the blurred horses adds a touch of magic to an already beautiful shot. i like this one a lot, well done.

I just noticed that RadiantVista.com did a commentary on this photograph - you got an Ansel comparison! I love the tonal values in this photograph; the values of the sky and the field are just stunning. Very nice work.

The exposure was 1 sec, as I recall. My experience is that with the #87 one must expose ~10-11 stops over normal (rating the film at 400) to get a dense negative. So obviously this is something one does in sunny 16 conditions and with reasonably fast glass.

Thanks for the comments!

Wow this is really a great photograph. So many elements working together to make a perfect and visually exciting image.
