Mansion "Huis Te Vogelenzang"

"Huis te Vogelenzang" is one of the big mansions build in the dunes around Haarlem by wealthy Amsterdam citizens who made their fortune during the Dutch Golden Age, or by using that fortune in the centuries thereafter in banking and trade.

I overprinted and bleached back this one as an experiment, gives a kind of "lith" appearance.

Really wonderful photo, but I am annoyed by the fake dropshadow.

Thanks. I have now synchronized the background color of my website with that of APUG and replaced the image here on APUG, so the dropshadow looks better. I use the same images on my personal website, and it is just to much work to create separate images for APUG, which should now not be necessary.

I guess it is just a matter of taste - please disregard my comment. You have done some really nice stuff in the "Haarlem by night" series. Thanks for sharing them!
