Manda Cart

Carbon Transfer print from 8x10 HP5 film negative. I printed the negative with the emulsion facing away from the tissue in order to retain correct orientation. Hence the slight softness. Mixed in a little more Venetian Red than I usually do with the Lamp Black water colour for this batch of carbon tissue... but I like it. This is from my Manda coal mine series, in Omuta, Japan.

I'm dumber than a treestump about the process, but dang its beautiful. A bit of impressionist watercolor feel.
