Man and Dog (iPhone snap rather than print scan)

Just to illustrate the issue I have with scanning prints and how they don't look anything like they do in my hand when I scan them. I'm not sure how to address this. This is the same print as the scan. The scans do not properly represent my pictures good or bad as they may be.

Do you mean the thing that looks like a graph with sliders at the bottom? Yes but it appears I’m doing it all wrong. I've been printing today. More XP2. I seem to have my eye in, it's just a bit different to ordinary film. I used EI 200 and that has made for dense negatives that needs about double my usual time. There's also a lot more contrast adjustment needed. Usually almost everything I do will print at between 2 and 3 but with the XP2 it's been anywhere from 1 to 3.5.

Anyway, I digress. I'm going to do some more scanning this evening and will try to get the scans to better match what I see when the print is in my hand.

@Eric Rose I think I have solved this. Somehow my scanner settings had become strange. I have reset to default and already there is an improvement. Thank you for asking about the graph thing. It was that type of problem.
