Different from your prior photographs in your media file — feels more spontaneous, less formal. I do find the grain and limited DOF a bit distracting; given that the model is not moving, perhaps try a slower film and longer exposure with smaller aperture? I do congratulate you on your dedication to shooting portraits!
What size would this be if it were a print? Even with D3200 I am a bit surprised at the grain given it's a MF camera. I take it this was shot very recently. At f2.8 60 secs is a long time even on a very dull late afternoon in say late November/early December or is this 1/60th which is about the speed I can achieve in artificial 70 W room light at f2.8 and with D3200 @ 3200
@Trask Thanks for your comments, the intention was make this image flat and with grain (maybe not as much).
The shutter speed was 1/60s not 60s (a typo).
Also thanks for taking interest in my other images.
@grahamp Very well spotted, I have this book and its quite inspirational. The book is "Exposure" which is a biography of the famous talented if not unconventional UK photographer Bob Carlos Clarke.
Unfortunately he threw himself under a train around 14 years ago, difficulties with grasping digital photography cited as one of many reasons.
A great read, google his images. the books on Amazon for a not a lot.
