My son and my grandchild...was my models for testing polaroid on my calumet 4x5 lage format......
No light exept for my window....
So I found out how to take polaroids......
I don't doubt your skill, but I find it odd that an object of so much joy and happiness is depicted in such a dark way. Perhaps I'm too much of a 'picture perfect' guy and it's more about personal taste than technical execution I think.
I like the smile on your son's face, but I always thought that the main communicator is the eyes, and there is a catch light - yes, but no definition to tell expression. The gesture of how he holds his child makes up for some of it, however.
I hope I'm not sounding overtly negative. I like your idea. It's very intimate.

Thanks Thomas
I fully understand your opinion.... Basicly the picture was an eksperiment with polaroid...But when the picture was finished I felt that there was a little more in it, than just an eksperiment.....
Thans for looking in.... and your are not at all negative.....
Hmmm, I don't find contrasty silhouettes distracting. What I feel is, that father's face is more important than child, from DOF. It is something underneath, that we suppose such a small childrens as a center of gravity ... so I will assume to use higher DOF, to have both faces in focus.
Anyway, interesting photograph. r.
