Madrid Plaza

This was shot during a busioness trip to Madrid. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the plaza. Can anyone help?

The shot was hand held. I have joined the ranks of the drunkards in using a lamp post as support rather than for illumination.

Unfortunately the scan is rather less colourful than the print, which has nice rich brown midtones. Wrestling with software to get it right seems like a waste of time - time to head back to the darkroom.

Very nice Pete and sharp hand held at f2.8 that is the fastest for your lens. You are probably at 1/8 sec since 1/15 sec hand held is still easy for an average rangefinder shooter. Otherwise they put their elbows on top of the table and 1/8 sec will be sharp.

Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic scene. What a great location! You seem to have nailed your exposure. I am glad you were able to do some photography while on a business trip.

This looks great to me. A very contrasty subject and you managed to hold detail in bright and in shadow areas without loosing contrast. I like it.

Cheers
