Most excellent Kerik! saw the image in real life and the scan/monitor view does not do it justice. Well done!

Kerik, very nice look (even just on screen). I do enjoy how the texture of clay seems somewhat synanymous with the texture of the wet plate process. Nice combination.

Kerik, I have a hard time posting on your photographs because I can't critique them with things other than bravos.
This seems to be a new type of subject matter for you. So far I've really enjoyed the clowns, but this goes beyond admiration for your skill and process. Some day with more time and cash on my hands I'll come down the wet plate road and pt/pd printing. I can't wait. Your photography is a huge inspiration to me.

Thanks for all the comments. I forgot to list that this is an 8x10 plate. The lens is an old brass "pillbox" style landscape lens (EA Anthony maybe?) with the front-mounted stop removed. It was not really intended to be used this way, but I love the look. The cover of the upcoming issue of ViewCamera will have another image I've made with this lens: http://www.apug.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=18844&cat=500&ppuser=311

Cool!

Kerik,

I just can't get my models to sit still for 80 seconds, ....
