Finally had a chance to bring a phenomenal model, beautiful light and and stellar lens together in one place recently. Been wanting to get a feel for this lens and how it flares, renders and makes people look.

You have certainly achieved your stated aim.

I do wonder how you could get a Minolta lens, presumably fully manual operation, to adapt to one of the latest and very electronic camera bodies? With great success I might add.

One of the best aspects of mirrorless cameras now (to me) is the ability to adapt almost any lens to it -- it opens up a huge amount of creativity and it's fun to think of pairing lenses with a 'mood' or feel in a similar way to pairing wine with food.
To answer, I bought a Minolta Rocker/MD to RF mount adapter online. Can't recall the brand name but they're easy to find. You have to focus manually, which is the case with an old lens anyway and the camera viewfinder offers focus peaking which helps you see exactly what's in focus.

I did the same with a Canon RP and a Pentax 35mm made for 6x4.5. Lots of shift and tilt and the image remains sharp. I bought the lens for less than $200 on eBay.

Wonderful image and model. I have a copy of this Rokkor as well, and have used it with an adapter on both my Fuji X-T1 and my Nikon Z-6 with great results. It definitely has a certain look to it. Here is one from my tumblr....

Colin, thanks for the detailed answer, a whole new world of photographic possibilities that I knew nothing about until now.

It's a lot of fun, especially with very fast older lenses that, on film with the original camera bodies that may have had dim viewfinders, might have been very hard to focus.

Wonderful rendering, there. Very cool to hear of another happy Rokkor user

Love it! Friend of mine uses a Pentax 67 lens on a Fuji medium format camera, along with a Canon 85/1.2...you really get to know what a lens can do.
