Gorgeous, Nick. I think DWT touches on what makes for some of the hook. A dreamy sunset hazing off into the distance is common. 'Nice - lovely, but sort of expected. Your detail in the foreground anchors a gritty, tactile look that confirms its not just dreamy, but quite real. Wet, gritty, beauty for miles. 'A cut above the normal.
 
Thanks all for the thoughts. I love the little formations that emerge as the flats drain at low tide, they have a very defined and structural quality for something so ephemeral...
 
This photograph has everything you could hope for! Not the least of which is the subtle and perfect exposure on the sand near the bottom or the begining of the shot.
