Lodi, WI

I was driving to Minneapolis and just pulled off the interstate and started driving around. I wanted to make an image representative of Lodi, WI and this is what happened.

Mike OK how can something which is so minimalist have so much detail? On my screen this could do with possibly a tad more contrast but I expect that's the scan. Good capture and certainly beats those pictures of poppy or sunflower fields in full bloom that we are so use to seeing.

So, what's that growing in Lodi??? Were you stuck in Lodi again??? haha
Very nice. I'd like to get a shot of those really weird clouds that visit us sometimes... you know... the ones that look like a lizard's belly?
These are very typical WI clouds. I love that you've captured what we may take fro granted!

Nice image, Mike, although the foreground plants seem a little dark to me, too.

Interesting, as well, to find out that WI has a Lodi. I'm pretty sure, though, that the stuck-again song was about the Lodi here in the central valley of CA, north a ways from Weedpatch.

This isn't what I really think of when I think of Lodi, but to each his own. Just so everyone knows, it's pronounced low-DIE... with the emphasis on DIE

Oh sure Ralph....it has to be a CA Lodi!

Thank you all for your taking the time to critique this photograph.
Ralph...I hear what your saying about the dark soy bean foilage. I always end up with my images rather heavy 99% of the time. I don't plan it but this wierd thing takes over me in the darkroom and it just happens. I'm trying to break out of that and I did restrain myself on the Mil. Art Museum one I posted awhile back and am going to try some more that way.

Beautiful rich tones in this image, both foreground and sky. On my monitor (win/artisan) it looks very green, wondering how green the real print is? Also, the horizon looks kind of "knubbly", which is bothersome, but I'm assuming this is partly a digital artifact?
