Locomotive Graveyard #2

These are the last of the mighty steam locomotives of the 3rd Reich. Built around 1935-1940. These locomotives where in service in the former DDR (East Germany). They where retired in 1990-1991 after the fall of the Berlin wall. Certainly out lasted Hitler’s 1000-year 3rd Reich.

This is much the better of the two shots of the loco graveyard. In the 21st century these kind of shots of these kind of locomotives may be almost unique. I think there are many enthusiasts who would like prints of these. The former GDR and other former Soviet bloc countries have got some unique benefits from being "frozen in time" I hope they have the good sense to preserve this recent history which the "West" has largely and foolishly thrown away.

DragonHrt,
I definitely like this composition better than the other. Can't wait to see what you get with the Rollie.

Sorry I'm late,
Those 2-10-0 Kreigslok Decapods were the most numerous steam locomotives ever produced at over 10,000 units produced between 1939 and 1947.
I'm surprised that a full line of those still exist nowadays. These should be preserved to every rail museum collection in the world.

I like this one, they had a plentiful life and now they're basking quietly in the sun.
If you return, I would be interested to have a few prints of those
