What a fantastic range of tones you have captured and the photo itself is terrific.
Could you give more information on this carbon toner.

Cheers

Mighty and beautiful!

This is a selenium-sulfur toner. Without prior bleach it shifts the color to a cold brown - depending on the paper brand.

Similar to selenium you get an increase in maximum black at first and the hue turns cooler. After about one minute the tone shifts slowly towards aubergine. From highlights to shadows the tone stays uniform up to toning times of 2 to 3 minutes.
After that, especially in a higher dilution, the highlights turn warmer towards a red-yellow tone and the shadows turn to a warm brown.

masterful tonal presentation and composition... superb photography! .....
