Why is this image working in such a 'emotional' way ? S.Sontag: " painters make pictures and photographers take pictures". This is about 'making' ? I don't know; I would love to make Thanks anyway.

Dear Shangh, after re reading my message: I hope you read my comment as a compliment! What I'm wondering about this(and any other) image is; do we find images or do we construct them (to tell a story) and according to Susan: is there a quality difference between 'making' and 'taking' ?
I understood your comment as a compliment! I personally construct them, and I think most able photographers do...even a painter needs to find his inspiration before creating a painting. The ability to manipulate it is easier in the painters case, but that for me is why a photographers lot is a greater burden...we have less tools to construct our vision...whether through form, content, interpretation (eg dark room) or the media. But who am I to argue with Ms Sontag!
