The "wide shot" here is so different, loved the crop in the prior; although the paper and toning is stellar! Like T asks, what's this Transtar? Sounds like a defunct airline company.
TP5 is weird
Not an RC and not Fiber. In between... Can be exposed on both sides. Mat. Loose dmax as expected when dry.
This is a straight lith, no toning. It lith very well.
Max,
I have a lot of it from military surplus.. 100 in 10x12 and 300 in 24x36
I finally found a way to print and wash these beast. Will start soon.
How much ? I am shy !
Transtar TP-5 (made by Kodak) was one of the original papers that started the lith trend back in the 80's. Kodak had a few great lithable papers... Kodak Rapid, and Kodagraph P84. TP-5 produced the warmest image color, while Kodak Rapid gave a more pink tone, while P84 gave a subtle buff color. TP-5 was an RC-Matt finish, and Rapid was an RC semi-matt. TP-5 very highly regarded in its day for the lith effect. Eddie Ephruams and folks who created the AG magazine affiliated with Silverprint UK in the early 90's swore by it's capabilities. I was never able to try it as it was gone when I first dabbled with lith back in the early 90's, but Oriental Seagull grade was available then too!
