Lith #5 - The buried church

Lith #5 - The buried church

'The buried church', also known as 'Old Skagen church', is an abandoned 14th-century church just outside Skagen in Northern Denmark. The church is now partially burried in sand from nearby sand dunes.

This is a Lith print made on Emaks K888.

You're losing the right side of the church -- can you darken the clouds near there? Otherwise, very nice image.

Yes, I agree that the church is "burnt out" on its right side and I too would like to have a tad of tonality on the facade. Lith-printing is a tricky process though and this print was last one after a long night in the darkroom; I simply did not have neither stamina nor more active developer to do a second try....
Thanks for your comment, much appreciated!

Church tonality aside, I love this photo. I've tried darkroom Lith printing and had no where near the tenacity you demonstrated in obtaining this print. Compositionally, I may have cropped a bit off the bottom...then again, maybe not. As it stands, the size of the church compared to the foreground adds to the "haunting" and disconnected feel of the image (perhaps symbolic of how one feels about religion?).
