Good subject, and a strong graphic. This is part of a series, right? It will look fine on a wall exhibited that way.

Thanks John. Yes it is part of a series, some abstract, some more documentary, of a local railroad that has become a tourist line. I also entered three prints in the Schuylkill Heritage Area show, but alas, the judge for that apparently isn't a railfan!!!

I was fooled by the toning - 'thought its was color film w/ old oil/grease on the metal. I enjoy the subject matter, but have not gotten detail shots I'm happy with. The sharpness & detail are what make it for me. The toning is sort of the frosting - adding a nice touch. I wish you all the best in the show.

Your method and subject are made for each other. Very tactile print. . .I imagine my fingers getting greasy or crushed.

Fine image, tone is great. I wonder what the judges preferred? Human interest?
