Lighthouse

Lovely Schlapp. Including the thicket of shrub, and the tangle of dead branches, raises this above run of the mill lighthouse shots. Nice toning too. What toner?

That's a great shot, those branches in the front give a Science Fiction look to your photo. Your toning is also terrific.

I really like this! We've similar knarly, twisted trees here, and I've wanted to photograph them for a while now. You've found a fine solution to putting the tree in a larger context suggesting its location near the ocean, and making it a picture that's about more than just the tree. Well, done! (Btw, I just looked up Viradon and discovered it's no longer manufactured...at least not by Agfa. Is there another source?)

Really gives the lighthouse a sense of isolation in a wild place...nicely done.
