4.5 x 3 inch silver enlargement. Yes, I'm really into small intimate prints.... This seemed to me a bit like a stage (imagine the light pole is a microphone and the pool of light a spotlight) just waiting for the cast.
I made this exposure last fall. Now that I've got a dichro enlarger I'm making small prints and have been so impressed with the quality that I've decided to include them with my large format contact prints as part of my Shenango Dam Project. I'm using Pentax prime lenses on a largish wooden tripod, mirror lock up, Tmax 100 in Rodinal semistand (to increase acutance and control contrast) and printing small with a 50mm Nikkor enlarging lens. I must say I am really surprised by the sharpness and detail. Even the grain in the rushing water at the top is smooth. I'm still committed to LF but I'm proud to show these little guys right next to them! Love that 35mm!!!!!!!
