These are a sampling of the 60+ images I'll have on display at Early Gallery in Osaka, April 10 - 15. Anyone who will be in Japan during that time is invited to come and see the show. I'd love to meet some fellow APUGers, but don't think there's much opportunity in Japan. For more information, check my homepage:
Its a great series! It makes me feel better about the japanese trains after the horror descriptions I have of Tokyo underground in rush hour! Unfortunately after the passing of my sensei, Japan seems even further away...
Thanks for the compliment. Rush hour is just a time when you shouldn't be on the train. Any other time, it's a breeze. Sorry to hear of your teacher's passing. What did he teach?
He was Kaji Aso, teacher of japanese arts, including calligraphy, painting, poetry, philosophy and tea ceremony. He lived in Boston where he had his school. A great artist himself and also an adventurer.
Like your work of people on the move. A favorite subject to me but a difficult one too.
Travel to Japan is highest on my destination list and hope to make it either later this year or next. Are people in general open to be photgraphed?
