Life on a Japanese Train

These are a sampling of the 60+ images I'll have on display at Early Gallery in Osaka, April 10 - 15. Anyone who will be in Japan during that time is invited to come and see the show. I'd love to meet some fellow APUGers, but don't think there's much opportunity in Japan. For more information, check my homepage:

I checked your web page! Very nice! You have done a great job of creating personal but not private images of the everyday life in Japan. I love how the feeling is so relaxed! Nice tones as well, I know the light conditions in a train can be difficult to say the least.

Thank you for the encouragement. I certainly don't seek to be intrusive, but I have received the occasional scowl. Usually though, the subjects don't notice that while I was "playing with/cleaning" my funky old camera, I actually took their picture. Those who do notice will usually either smile or just ignore me. The biggest problem shooting is backlighting. Some of these shots were really tough to print. The night shots are much easier of course.
