i really like this composition. suprise, i would like to see the dof extend to the end of the image inspite of the highlights. obviously that's a point we'll never agree on
i do think the image leads your eye easily around the photograph and the stones in the road seam to glow. nice work. doc

Warm, nostalgic, lonely, ancient. A play of light and texture. Depth of field is less important, it diminishes to the vanishing point and would otherwise distract from the image. It is what you see. Well done, do more, thanks D. James 13234408259@cox.net

Being nearsighted, this is the way i'd see the scene without my glasses so it looks perfectly natural to me )..i like the soft quality of the DOF at the end of the alley, it adds mystery and subtle danger. i also like the low angle you shot this from..i feel like a street dog, checking out the neighborhood. regards: kat~

The composition leads my eye to the upper left corner. Yet, the focus draws my eye back to the bottom of the image. The two are at odds with one another and the conflict is unsettling. I wonder how this image would have worked had the camera been focused on the farther area at the upper left so that both elements would have worked together.
