Made this exposure with the sun just above the horizon. I love that about the prairie! There are actually two elevators, side by side. I set up my tent between them, hoping to do some star trails.. but the moon spoiled that!

Other worldly - and good.

It occurs to me that your Japan influences must really complicate your Saskatchewan influences.
 
Great light on this Andrew! I wish we had more elevators left like this in Manitoba, unfortunately most of what's left is nowhere near me when I go back home. I actually think that Japan influences and prairie influences would be quite similar - they're both minimalistic in many ways, though perhaps Japan on the smaller scale and the prairies on a larger one.
 
I can see why Matt says other worldly. I expect to see the light originate from above. Here, its more from below w/ a dark sky. It is an interesting effect.
