2F , post your color ones , your bw ones are good but they could even printed better. This lens is a real Faberge Jewel. I bought a Leica Mini Zoom 35 -70 Elmar f.4 and took some examples with Portra 400 NC and will put here in 3 days
And I am curious why it is hilarious (the photo itself, that is). It appears to me that the women are simply ululating. It's no different than a picture of people clapping or cheering.
I tend to take all the "greatest lens in the world" posts with a grain of salt, but usually give a "looks pretty sharp" thought when I see the results on my monitor. I'm with Michael, on this one. I don't get it...
I also don't much care about the greatest/sharpest thing. Too much time is spent on worrying about equipment, wasting time that could be used making images. All of my cameras, from my 8x10, down to my Dianas/Holgas, tax my ability to create interesting images. They all have the ability to out-resolve my brain and vision. On those days where my (figurative) vision isn't firing on all cylinders, a lens that can pick out a penny at 5 miles away is useless anyhow.
My favorite images, in the gallery, are those in which the artist's imagination is paramount. They're often pinhole, Holga, experimental (or in jnanian's case) without a camera at all.
