Ledges

4x5 silver contact print

I'll definately give this a go on a lower grade paper when I get some but with a water bath I was able to keep detail throughout the whites and even in most of the shadows... As such the print has a very interesting look in person, the roots seeming very much like snakes or tentacles. Definitely a tenacious fellow!

Shawn,
Other then the subject and the contrast, what does it for me in this print is a two dementional feel , I like this ... 4x5 contact print would feel pretty intimate...

16 min.@f22 ? must have been darker then a pocket out there...

Thanks everyone!

Ilya, I made this a bit before sunrise to avoid the rays of light that come through the canopy very shortly thereafter. Not quite as dark as a pocket but close. =)

Love those trees that scrape out a life hanging precariously from the sheer rock faces. Nicely done!

All the best,
Daniel
