I am not sure about her being so out of focus or is she blurred from moving during the long exposure. Not sure to be honest. Reason I am seeking a critique because there is something about it i like and might explore. Though I will avoid the pose you see here. 17second exposure so posing is needed
I just like the feeling of this ... the unsharpness gives me more as a viewer to fill in for myself and wonder about. Do some more exploration and se where it leads you. I prefer this one over the other two.
Thank you. There is something to it that attracts me as well. It was not intended to be this blurry but after developing the film and looking at it. Somehow it speaks to me. I am thinking about printing and toning this sepia maybe. Might be something
The beach gravel is in focus so you focused beyond her. What is you intention for the photo? Is subject blur necessary? If not, a sitting pose would have less movement. If you want her moving, I'd focus on her and have her move even more. As it is, my attention goes to the beach.
@tnp651 I intended the to focus to be on her but something went wrong. I can see a lot of movement in her and with such a long exposure that would create trouble. Not sure if that is the entire reason for the blur though or if I also simply missed focus a bit on top of it. I just shot with two more gals and some shots are blurred because of body movement so I think in the cold wind they just have trouble staying still for the 17 second exposures. To be honest though I have come to really like the look. It was totally not intended but I like it. Kind of a nice little surprise. I will post a couple shots from this last shoot sometime tonight i still need to scan them.
