Nice one. If that is a spiral fire escape on the outside of the building do the victims of fire just drop what appears to be the extra 15 feet to the ground?

There are a whole lot of things in Istanbul that aren't really rigged for safety. At times it made me laugh.

Don't worry about the wiring, rarely rains! Top picture, lovely feeling of light and a wonderful antidote to the usual tourist pictures.

Thanks very much. I actually have shot lots of photographs like these over the years as I've traveled, but never really "did" anything with them. I have a show coming up in September in which I'll finally get to showcase these images, along with portraits and still life inspired by places I've been so far, and I'm really looking forward to putting it together.
