Very nice tonal ranges and the ghost characters really add to it. It is nice to know there are still places like this.

Terrific image !! Show me a dig SLR that can match that detail--- wonderful shot !! Your camera didn't draw too much attention did it?

I think I may have some more shots of the same bar in my files but I don't have them scanned. My large format camera didn't draw too much attention because, it turns out, many photographers frequent the place and they usually have an photo exhibit showing at any given time. In fact, you can see some of the pictures for the exhibit they had going then on the wall to the right. Some outstanding work, too.

The bar is an old dusty neighborhood bar right down the street from the Biograph Theater on N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago... where John Dillinger was killed. It is filled with interesting characters including artists, university professors, authors, etc. It's a wonderful little place.

Oh, btw, I didn't intend for the people to be blurred but I knew that they would be because of my slow shutter speed. But when I printed it, I was glad that they were blurred because it kind of gives a sense of what things might look like to someone who has had a few too many drinks and closing time had come.
