Larry

Let's face it, when we see panhandlers or those asking for spare change we almost never even LOOK at them let alone say even a simple hello. Something about Larry seemed kind, though and I'm glad I stopped to say hi. He agreed to a simple street portrait afterwards.

It's a good portrait and I had to look at the full picture to be sure he was doing what is remarkable for a man of his age. He is literally squatting on his haunches and while he may have the benefit of pressing his back against the flat stone behind him his suppleness and muscular strength in his legs and knee joints to be able to do this is quite incredible, I feel.

His expression says that he is not experiencing the slightest strain or discomfort
