I like the lightness of this. Nice details. Was it as light inside to the eyes as it is on your capture?

Wow, what a beautiful picture. I can appreciate the skill in using movements to correct verticals etc and the symmetry at a technical level but what really hits me is simply the emotional impact of the picture - a very serene and calming image to look at.

It was how I remembered it. The stone is very light in colour and 'bounces' light around nicely. However the test print that I made , which I will try to scan soon, is a little darker. Perhaps a different paper and gold toning would help?

Wow! I don't think I can recall a more symmetrical image. The sheer symmetry in this case is very beautiful. That's a great photograph!

Stunning image Barry!! I love the sharpness and tonal range. I hope you don't mind, but I can't help think this would have also been as stunning in color.

Thanks to all of you for your comments.

You are probably right Robert, but I did not have any Velvia with me that day.

I'll have a look at Bruce Barnbaums cathedral work, thanks Nathan.

Magnificent, Everything is perfectly executed. I hope you will share the final print!
