How do you comment on this? Both are fantastic. If there is anything I'd like to see done in this as a print, I would probably burn in the top left a little bit. That slightly brighter area is full of mid grays that takes away from the fantastic contrast rendered in the center of the frame. It would help leading my view into the frame.
I would have been proud to call myself camera operator on both of these shots.

To me the mass in the lower left is distracting. And I really don't feel a good flow through the picture. Too much dead space in the fore ground. Cutting most of the fore ground off and making the image into a semi-panoramic works better for me.
This one. The other doesn't have a frame within a frame effect and look too crowded with no focal point. When you see the two together, you can understand why all the books contain examples of why a frame within a frame is worth looking for.
