thank you all for your comments. Who knew there were so many kinds of brushes! This is something I've always wanted to do. I had the opportunity to see the exhibit in Washington DC "Truth and Beauty", pictorialism which had several wonderful photographs. This was in the Phillips Collection. there's a book to go with it.
