Tom, thank you. Yes, hand holding always. Just enough light to pull it off, even with the longer and slower macro lens.

Yes. It's an underground club -- light is from the overhead florescent tube light, no modifiers and no additional light introduced. I like the challenge of using what's there.

Very impressive, and naturalistic. You get a very different look compared to purposefully lighting the shot.

Yes, and it keeps it true to what it actually looks and feels like. Of course, the area is actually tiny, ugly, and ridiculously cluttered, but the mood is the same.
