I come from a country where bridges and viaducts are stone, brick, or latterly steel. North American trestles, even steel ones, always seem so flimsy. The viewpoint's location in space is very clear, and just with the trees and the trestle.
Not sure where you are from but, Canada is not old enough to sport stone viaducts. The Romans didn't make it this far... Trust me. This bridge is far from flimsy. I don't really follow your last sentence. Elaborate, please.
Wonderful look at this old bridge and scenic backdrop of evergreens. The only thing I might wish for was a slight bit more room at the first twist or bend in the bridge at the photo right edge. That maybe just a tight scan and the actual image has more room there. Regardless, I like this a lot.
[I'm a Brit in California]. There is no call for anything so high in the UK There is no sky, and the ground can only be inferred by where the bases of the trees should be. It is a tight crop, but it is clear that there is nothing but space around the camera point.
