Looks a little bit like a cathedral, but the small entrance door does not invite to step in. Together with the background of the unhealthy use of asbestos in former times it gives a strange feeling for me. The composition of the image transports this feeling very well, if it was meant this way.
Well it maybe taboo to sa so here, but I'm -really- more used to shooting with APS-C digital bodies. I was actually suprised at the increased falling-down-building syndrome distortion of this shot. I'm not sure if it's the 50mm/3.5 PS lens, the nature of the 6x6 format, or the use of a waist level finder. Perhaps all three synergized and became greater than the total of their sum. I don't percieve the same level of distortion on my digital images, but I just may be more used to that look. Bronica never made shift lenses for the SQ series so I guess I'm stuck with it!
I agree....the distortion ruins the entire image. Sorry. No hard feelings I hope. The wires are a large distraction, and the image can be framed much better. Might I ask what you were trying to convey?
S'ok, I wouldn't call this my most favorite image. I just thought it was an imposing deco styled building. Very different architecture from the rest of my hometown.
