La Turbie

I've been experimenting with Fuji Pro 160C printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper. It's a good combination if you want punchy, calendar-style pictures, as this 10x8 example shows.

This is a quiet corner in the commune of La Turbie, in the hills above Monaco. The Roman Emperor Augustus built the immense 'Trophy of the Alps' here, to mark Roman domination over the traditional alpine tribes. Part of the monument still stands, somewhat restored, but some of the stones probably found a use elsewhere...
