English? No way! My wife and I are very fortunate to have a tiny little house in this village (Roums) in the Ardeche region of France. The whole area is so photogenic, with the River Ardeche about 500 metres away, cutting through the cliffs, leaving fabulous gorges from which to shoot.
This was my first outing with the Kodak Medalist II camera - and what a camera! The lens is fabulous and whilst we were sitting outside a restaurant in Labeaume an old boy saw the camera and sat down to talk about his collection of old cameras and pictures he had taken of the area. I thought that was great - the fact that an old camera could result in striking up a friendship with someone you've never met; I bet it doesn't happen with a digital camera?!
