That is such a compact, light little kit, the rebel g and 40/2.8stm. I have numerous old rebels laying around that are always my back of choice out hiking, usually putting on a kit 28-80 but I have the 40 sitting around. It is such a stellar lens and so small. This may become my new favorite summer kit.
Great intimate image as well
@Jon Buffington thanks. I love that little shorty forty. Optically it’s wonderful. Put it on any small EF mount film SLR and you have a near perfect walk around kit. For less than $250 to boot, even buying the lens brand new. And the icing on the cake is that lens focuses crazy close, AND is stellar wide open. It and the 50mm STM are total sleepers in canon’s lineup.
