The suburb where I live is named after the Kranzkloof gorge which features this spectacular waterfall. The base of the falls, where this photograph was taken, is reached by a lovely (although occasionally strenuous) 4-hour (return) hike.
Thanks Vincent. I used the orange filter for two reasons: to increase the exposure time to get a milkier rendition of the water; and to reduce the contrast range between the rock and the water to a level that would be more manageable in the print (the rocks are an orange/brown colour, so they would be less affected by the filter than the white water). Unfortunately this scan does not show this well as the scanner has pushed the contrast up, blocking out some of the shadows and losing some of the subtlety of the original. I'll try to make a better scan.
