Kodak; Kathmandu, Nepal (2012)

Dug up some film recently from a trip in April 2012 to Nepal. It was spoiled by a leaky plastic Patterson tank - all metal for me from now on!
Anyway, most were solarized and unprintable; some were not too bad so I scanned them in -- very grainy and obviously affected but I just did basic levels, little bit of dodging/burning...all stuff I could do in a darkroom.
Anyway, it feels like I'm seeing new images again...a special memory.

Leaky Paterson tank? how? was this the latest model? I've only ever had issues with Jobo tanks, the Paterson's I own (I own 3, one takes almost 2 liters of developer) never leak at all, even the large one which I can shake and shimmy without even holding onto the lid and never a drop.... you must either have an old model or have done something severely wrong for them to leak.

Nothing like digging up old negatives and seeing discovering something new! This is a wonderful shot.

Agree, top shot...the Kodak sign is excellent too  Never had any problem with my (many) Patterson tanks...real bummer that it spoilt your pics.

Nice photo. I think the format works very well for this photo. I like the motion blur of the bike rider. Thanks for sharing. Wkr, Henning
