Kodak 35

Study of an old Kodak 35. (or, the mangler, as I call it)
This image won first place in the Leamington Arts Center's photo competition in January 2012. Sadly it was the only analog work in the whole show.
Location
Leamington, ON
Equipment Used
Calumet cc401, Ektar 203mm wide open.
Thanks, John. I'm pretty proud of the way that the plane of focus intersects the lettering on the focus scale, the shutter selection and the Kodak logo - but little else.

Damn I was about to make a resolution to watch out for the next Leamington competition as I has missed this one when I then noted that this was the other Leamington.

Great image! And don't you just LOVE those beautiful stainless steel sprockets in the take up that can reduce sprocket areas to confetti?

John, I have yet to get a single roll of film all the way through this camera without at least one tear. I HAVE gotten a few nice photos with it, but it hardly seems worth the aggravation.

I have one of these as well and I understand the nickname "The Mangler." I have not be able to get a roll though without tearing either!
