These greys are all close but still distinguishable. Out of interest what are the colours of the background and the object? I assume that the outer ring, the lion's head and ring in its mouth are all one colour but I might be wrong. Thanks
Thanks for the reply. I would have expected almost any green to be darker on B&W but thinking about it forest green is quite light. Just goes to show that even green which B&W tends to render as quite a dark colour covers quite a range of zones.
A very nice picture. I'm assuming the lens was wide open to have such shallow dof? Parts of the ring look sharp and parts of the lions hair but otherwise out of focus in front and behind. Were you testing the dof?
@Svenedin The lens was wide open good eye. I was testing depth of field and the Macro ability of the mamiya C330 due to the built in bellows is was less than a foot away.
