This is so beautifully balanced and self-contained. Tranquil. Symmetric. I've often found that the most difficult axis for me to get right is the depth axis. Do I move another step forward? Or a step backward? These tripod holes look perfectly placed.
My only minor quibble, and this is more of a personal preference than anything else, is the loss of a sharply delineated upper right corner. And to a lesser extent, the upper left corner. For some reason sharp corner offsets appeal to me. They seem to impose greater clarity on an image. Greater incisiveness. Imposing a "you're either on the bus, or off the bus" thought calculus.
However, I do realize your mileage may vary, even Further...
thank you guys, and Ken, you are right about the corner sharpness. I think it was due to my focusing near and far to determine DOF and my notes indicate I forgot to reset the focus to midway.
