I went to the rally against the proposal of new photography law in NYC at Union Square. Didn't find the rally, but there was another gathering against the current war and Bush.
This couple were so occupied, they didn't notice me, which is two feet away from them.
Some may say that this hasn't quite got the feel or look of the Robert Doisneau shot and initially I felt this way until I thought about it properly and looked properly. All the parallels are there. This is a NY scene of the 21st century which is as good a reflection of NY life now as Doisneau's was of Paris then.
The difference is that he was famous and the passage of time has now given him a lot of help.
