Kiski River and Rail in Snow

6x7cm silver gelatin contact print.

Well, the full name is Kiskiminetas River.

Exploring some new home territory with my girlfriend. I will be moving about 1.5hrs south east in the near future and this place is looking like it will be one of my local photography haunts. =) Lots of Sycamore trees and I LOVE sycamore trees.

Hard not to let sycamores be one's favorite tree. Nice gnarly branches to fill the negative space between the hills. Well done, Shawn.

Nice. Very nice stark winter picture.

Silent. Cold. Barren. Still. Like happening upon the skeletal remains of what was once a living landscape, now being reclaimed by nature. It's easier, I think, to see in winter because there's less there to look at.

God, this is nice, Shawn! Crisp and cold!

Looks wonderful, Shawn! You've inspired me to shoot more landscape.

Right, oolala... I feel like I have to duck as the current whisks me along. :D
