Kiev

Here is the first attempt at a print from my recently acquired Kiev model 30 (thanks John). There seems to be a good amount of lens flare under the best of circumstances and I'm still not sure if I shot too slowly at 1/60 or if the lens is just a bit soft. Will have to continue with tests. No tripod mount and I didn't have any chewing gum to stick it in place for these tests.

Most of the exposures have a rather large scratch on the film, but I'm not sure if it is the film splitter I made, or if the camera or cassette has a "small" imperfection in it. Just something else to look into. Will have to do a snip test to see if I scratched the film or if the camera did.

Efke 25, pyrocat and semi-stand development gives very good acuity normally, so will need to play with things a bit more to find out.

Thanks for looking, tim
