the contrast in this,inky blacks bright grey .. fantastic, and the puddle of a self portrait is great.
i love how it almost looks like you leaked out of the fire plug !

Jon ... Most of Cris Marker's video links make a point, tho the Akron Art Museum may be best. Several have better music, IMO.

The first Marker movie I saw (in an actual theater...maybe 1966 !) was La Jettee...full length short science fiction movie shot 100% entirely as B&W stills. I think you'll like it.

Agreed with JN the contrast works well in these images...why...it isolates the subject...what is the subject...not the hydrant.
