I like the tree too...I think it helps the boat so it doesn't look like it's 'all alone'. This is a great picture. I've been looking at it since you posted it. It makes you want to keep looking at it! Very nice!

Very good composition, however I would crop off the right side to remove the small part of the bridge and the light trap of the white water. Wish I made the photo!

Bob I think I would be interested in being a part of such a group, but would not have the time to run it.
BWGirl.. I agree the tree keeps it from being a lonely boat. As a matter of fact I went out of my way to get the trunk in the shot.
pmoshay I am not sure why but when I cropped the right side out it just didn't "sing" to me the way it does with it there.

Very nice composition. I like the reflection of the pilon in the water as well. The tree doesn't bother me at all. IMO it works with or without and I don't agree with even snapping off a single branch just for the perfect shot, so shoot me. Cropping the light/right side of the pilon is not a bad idea as pmoshay said for less distraction. But that's just my thoughts and since it's not image I don't feel it's my place to suggest what you should or shouldn't do, it's what works best for you at the time. Cheers, Nicole
